We’ve definitely had a bad case of the Mondays today at VIE.
It’s been a dreary weekend here on the Emerald Coast, with that small monsoon yesterday and an overcast haze settling over our little office all day today. We really would have liked to stay in bed today. But while it hasn’t really been ideal beach weather, we’ve been trying to power through it and just stay awake and motivated (with the help of our beloved coffee). Sometimes it’s such a hard thing to do! Life happens, as we like to say, and with it comes these clouds in the sky and bumps in the road. But somehow, the sun always manages to peek back through eventually. So keep moving forward. Listen to some music, go for a walk, talk to a good friend on the phone, look up funny videos on Youtube… Do whatever it takes to keep yourself positive in cloudy times. We all have them, the difference is whether we sulk in the darkness or flip the light switch on!
We hope these Words of the Week from VIE blogger/contributing writer Haley Chouinard will inspire you to look at the glass half full, keep your chin up, and any other optimistic cliches you can think of.
