Run for the Redfish Returns to Panama City Beach THIS Saturday, Dec. 6

The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce has been persistently working to host the 6th Annual Run for the Redfish THIS Saturday, December 6, 2014. Runners from across the country will participate in this combined half-marathon, 5K and kids fun run to start/finish at Pier Park.

The event is open to the public and will be held at Celebration Hall in Santa Rosa Beach from 6-8:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and delicious desserts provided by 30A’s top restaurants including Bud & Alley’s, Vue on 30a, Signature Catering of 30A and more. The evening will also feature live music by Maxwell McCann, a silent auction and complimentary wine and champagne. Event attendees are encouraged to bring a $10 grocery gift card to support Food For Thought Outreach, Inc.

The 2015 Alaqua Animal Refuge Hunks and Hounds calendar will be officially released at a beach bonfire party on Wednesday at The Bay.


The eighth annual Cottages for Kids will take place in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin from October 31 through November 9 and will debut designer cottages for all to see. Grand Boulevard’s Grand Park will be transformed into a small village with cottages that look like they have popped out from the pages of a fairytale to modern creations brimming with creativity. Using a lot of imagination, hard work and a little elbow grease, area builders are hard at work finalizing their creations for this year’s event.


The 2014 30A Charity Golf Classic raised $27,706 for Alaqua Animal Refuge. The second annual event was held on Saturday at Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club and was presented by The Aesthetic Clinique.


Sunny skies and good times are predicted for the upcoming Baytowne Beer Festival at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. The two day festival includes a beer bingo walkabout on Friday, October 17 and a craft beer tasting with more than 200 selections on Saturday, October 18.

The 2014 Panama City Beach Seafood and Music Festival will take place October 17 and 18 at Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater and is headlined by Grammy Award–winning country music group The Band Perry on Saturday and classic favorites Blues Traveler, Foghat and Outlaws on Friday evening.
