VIE had a great time at the #Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival at #Sandestin this weekend. This year’s event featured more than 60 breweries and the selection was incredible. We weren’t the only ones who thought so. The gorgeous fall weather, beautiful setting, and lively entertainment resulted in a strong turnout. The festival has become one of the “don’t-miss” events of the year and if you’ve never experienced it, we urge you to put next year’s festival on your calendars

Sunny skies and good times are predicted for the upcoming Baytowne Beer Festival at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. The two day festival includes a beer bingo walkabout on Friday, October 17 and a craft beer tasting with more than 200 selections on Saturday, October 18.

The five-course meal at the James Beard House in New York City on October 1 featured modern Southern cuisine using a bounty of ingredients from our beloved Gulf Coast. It was sponsored by Visit Pensacola and prepared by the Pensacola Celebrity Chefs.

The anticipated event, “Southern Inspired: Fresh from Florida’s Gulf Coast,” will be hosted by Visit Pensacola on Oct. 1. The menu, presented by the Pensacola Celebrity Chefs, will fuse modern Southern cuisine with each chef’s own artistic touch and features locally-harvested produce and seafood. VIE is proud to be covering this event for its 2015 Food & Fashion Issue!

Thursday, May 8, at 7:00 p.m., VIE had the honor of attending the “Dinner Down South” culinary event with Chef Donald Link at Bud & Alley’s gulfside restaurant in beautiful Seaside, Florida.

Margaritaville Panama City Beach recently expanded its menu, refreshing the coastal-inspired offerings with over fifteen new items that are sure to have your taste buds feeling like they’re on vacation, even if you’re a local!

Emeril Lagasse—iconic chef, cookbook author, philanthropist, and restaurateur, would not be donning his familiar crisp white chef’s coat, but rather “kicking it up a notch,” as he might say, in a sports coat and dress shirt, perfect for an evening of fine dining with his lovely wife, Alden, an artist and philanthropist in her own light who has a taste for great style when it comes to interior decorating and fashion.

Owners Ann and George Hartley are pleased to announce they’ve renovated George’s at Alys Beach, their casual dining spot on 30A. The new look includes an expanded kitchen, more seating, and updated interiors and will be unveiled when the restaurant reopens for the season the first week of March.

VIE is excited to be joining 30-A artist Justin Gaffrey, whose work has been seen on our pages numerous times and on the cover of the 2012 Home and Garden Issue, tonight as he demonstrates his signature style of painting while enjoying an exquisite chef-prepared dinner at Pursell Farms near Birmingham, Alabama.
