VIE Takes 2015 London Fashion Week

Last week, with press passes in hand, owners Lisa and Jerry Burwell and members of the VIE Magazine team took flight heading to London Fashion Week. VIE’s original presence at New York Fashion Week back in 2008 has evolved to include Berlin and London Fashion Weeks as of 2015, allowing for fresh takes on each season’s upcoming styles, as well as street style trends around the world.

Take a peek behind the scenes with VIE at this year’s Wine, Women & Shoes Vintner Dinners. Guests purchased tickets to attend the Vintner dinner of their choice, with all proceeds supporting our region’s only fully professional symphony orchestra, Sinfonia Gulf Coast. An exclusive dinner was prepared in a luxury home in South Walton or in a private dining room of one of the area’s award-winning restaurants.

Astronaut Frank Culbertson, Expedition 3 Commander, shares his experiences aboard the International Space Station (ISS) during the terrorist attacks on the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, in the most recent edition of the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex “Tell Me a Story” video series. As the only American not on Earth at the time, Culbertson offers a unique and deeply moving account on the events of Sept. 11, 2001.

Unless you’re afraid of heights, you can’t resist climbing up to Stairway to Heaven’s crow’s nest, which offers a bird’s eye view spanning above Seaside’s sea of tin roofs and white wooden cupolas that resemble wedding cake toppers. To the south, sea oat-covered dunes shadow the Gulf of Mexico’s sugar-white shores…

These past four weeks have gone by so fast, and we are already itching to visit the Big Apple again. Our video producer, Benjamin, put together this little video of some of the highlights from our trip. We can’t wait to see these styles on the streets come September!

Our hearts still go out to the families, friends, policemen, firefighters, volunteers, airline personnel and every other person who suffered losses and grief from the attack.
